Plaintiffs claim Workday\u2019s AI-powered screening tools (like Candidate Skills Match and Workday Assessment Connector) discriminated based on age, race, and disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court found the claims sufficiently similar to proceed collectively, focusing on whether Workday\u2019s AI had a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Disparate_impact\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Disparate_impact\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">disparate impact<\/a> (<em>when a seemingly fair hiring process ends up unfairly disadvantaging certain groups, even without intentional bias<\/em>)&nbsp;on applicants over 40.
